“How many x-rays are safe in a day?”
My 8 year old daughter needs an x-ray. I want to know how many x-rays are safe in a day?

There really is no specific answer. X-rays are very safe and the dose to the patient is low. Only the X-rays that are needed to diagnose the problem at hand should be taken. The real danger lies in not taking the X-rays and not determining the cause of the patient's symptoms.
As many as you need. You get as much radiation from a chest X-ray as you do living in Denver, CO for one week or flying in an airplane for one hour.
