How much exercise is enough to be healthy?

I'm not a big fan of exercise, but I've started to gain weight and want to control it. How much exercise is enough to be healthy and fit as I don't want to spend too much time on it?

The guidelines recommend 150 minutes or more of moderate-intensity activity each week. This can be broken down into smaller amounts and spread out over the week. While exercise alone, without watching your diet, is not enough for weight loss it can help in reducing body fat. If you are not a fan of wasting too much time on formal exercise, try incorporating it into your daily routine. Park a little further while shopping, take an earlier stop, etc.
It depends on your goal. 15 minutes walking, then 15 min weights and 15 min machines 3 times a week, no bread, rice, or potatoes, only water and watch the nighttime eating. You can get in a biggest loser contest.
To answer your question, to stay healthy and fit, you need to do 1 hour of day of aerobic and weight lifting combined about 5 days a week.
