How much radiation is in an ultrasound?

I am a 23-year-old male. I want to know how much radiation is in an ultrasound?

Hi!

There is no radiation in an ultrasound which makes it an ideal modality where radiation is an issue or could be damaging. The image is created by sound waves - specifically taking advantage of the different rates of travel through different tissue thicknesses.
Hope this helps.
No radiation from ultrasound. Ultrasound does not use radiation. Ultrasound uses sound to create an image. Ultrasound is a good exam if you do not want to be exposed to radiation.
