How should I prepare for a tooth extraction?

I need to have a tooth extraction tomorrow. Is there anything that I should avoid? How should I prepare for a tooth extraction?

You don't need to do anything special beforehand
The only thing you need to prepare for is general anesthesia. If you plan on sleeping through your extraction do not eat or drink for 8 hours before your appointment. Otherwise there is nothing for you to do.
Not really, but speak with your dentist.
There is really nothing you need to do to prepare for an extraction. Just keep your mouth clean as it will decrease bacterial load and minimize your chance of infection. Definitely don't smoke following the extraction though, dry socket is a miserable experience!
Make sure you eat well before procedure unless you have general anesthesia. Avoid aspirin and any blood thinners like alcohol and some supplements.
Clean your mouth thoroughly before the extraction to reduce the chance of infection.
