OB-GYN (Obstetrician-Gynecologist) Questions Contraceptive Measures After Unprotected Sex

I had unprotected sex with my fiance. How can I make sure there is no pregnancy?

I had unprotected sex with my fiance about 3 days ago, and I forgot to take emergency contraceptive pills. Is there a way to ensure a pregnancy doesn't occur through natural means?

Wait for next menses. If not, do a pregnancy test.
There are two methods available to you now. I would recommend you see your gynecologist or Planned Parenthood for counseling. There is the IUD or emergency contraceptive pills.

Go now to the pharmacy and request emergency progesterone contraception. You can only do this up to 5 days after unprotected sex. Sometimes a doctor can insert a copper IUD, but you need to go in soon if you want long-term (10 years) protection against pregnancy.

Good luck!
Unfortunately, it becomes a waiting game. You can get a pregnancy test in your local pharmacy. These tests have become quite sensitive and accurate. There is no natural way to prevent pregnancy after the fact. The morning after pill is most effective in the first 24-72 hours after intercourse.
Some doctors use IUD's in this case to prevent implantation. You could try Plan B, but it is a little on the late side. See a Provider at Urgent Care today to get better advice.
You still have time. Use copper IUD, that might help.
