“How to help people with bipolar mania during the coronavirus?”
I am a 29 year old female. My brother has bipolar mania and I worry that the stress from the virus will worsen this.

Please make sure that he takes his medications regularly and stay in touch with his support system including family, friends, doctor, and therapist.

Probably the most helpful you can be is to spend time with him. Currently, the social isolation is most difficult for those with emotional problems. Also encourage him to take his medication regularly and see his doctor if he becomes either manic or significantly depressed.
No doubt, stress can exacerbate many mental health symptoms, including Bipolar Disorder. Under these circumstances, making sure the mood stabilizers are at adequate dosages and levels (when indicated) and trying to minimize stress, e.g., don't make major life decisions, can mitigate these risk factors.
