Urologist Questions Bladder infection

How to treat a bladder infection?

My 10 year old son has a bladder infection. He waits until the last second to go to the bathroom. Is that the reason?

Your child can develop a UTI when bacteria enter the urinary tract and travel up the urethra and into the bladder. The two types of UTIs most likely to affect children are bladder infections and kidney infections.
Because of his age as a child I advice you to further evaluate him by a Urologist to proof the presence of infection and the cause and to treat
Dysfunctional voiding habits are common in children and can cause urinary tract infections. I would try to do timed voiding with a wristwatch the goes off ever 3 hrs and if he still has trouble see out a local Pediatric Urologist.
