Is a dental cyst removal painful?

I am a 25 year old male. I have a dental cyst and want to remove it. Is a dental cyst removal painful?

No
The procedure should be painless following administration of anesthesia, and can be relatively simple procedure if the cyst is small and removal is being done coincident with undergoing tooth extraction. Large cysts are often treated in my practice with patients undergoing IV anesthesia to mitigate physical or emotional pain. Always see an Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon undergoing excision of large cysts.

Should be a quick recovery, but depends on the size and location of the cyst. It should be sent for a biopsy on removal to be sure it was benign and does not require any further treatment or therapy.
Discomfort following a cyst removal depends upon its size and location. Best to ask a dentist who can view an X-ray.
