Is a rhinoplasty safe?

I'm 25 years old, and a female. I would like to change the shape of my nose so I'm considering getting a rhinoplasty. Is the procedure usually safe?

Hello, yes rhinoplasty is extremely safe, if you are healthy and have it performed by a well qualified surgeon. It usually is 2-3 hours in length under general anesthesia. Recovery includes a splint over the nose. Pain is minimal. Most of my patients barely take their pain medication. Most patients return to work or school after five days.
Rhinoplasty in a generally healthy 25-year-old person who is not exceptionally overweight can be an extremely safe procedure when performed by a well-qualified plastic surgeon who specializes in rhinoplasty, in an appropriate accredited facility with a professional anesthesiologist providing control of the airway. In this setting, the risk of a serious complication would be extremely rare. I have performed over 3,000 such procedures and have never had an anesthesia complication. The more common issues with rhinoplastic surgery are patient satisfaction with the cosmetic result.
Yes... there many varying degrees of what needs to be changed, requires SKILL, Talent ,correct diagnoses. Xperience, & choice og technique
Also... Good Anezthesia is VIP.
Rhinoplasty is generally a very safe procedure, although some patients and surgeons are very concerned given its location in the middle of the face. In my opinion and experience, rhinoplasty requires great technical precision to render satisfactory results.
Safety is of most importance so I highly recommend you ensure you see a board certified plastic surgeon by the American board of plastic surgery.
Yes. No surgery would be offered if not conducted in a safe manner.
The answer to your question as always, is yes, BUT...
Safe surgery does not guarantee that there may not be complications and the safest surgery is done by the best trained surgeons. So, choose your doctor carefully and never use price as a reason for your choice. Board certification in Plastic Surgery or Facial cosmetic surgery (some ENT surgeons) should be a MUST.
I hope this helps.
