“Is bad posture bad for your back?”
I am a 23 year old male. I heard from my friend that bad posture is really bad for back. Is that true?

Good posture encourages you to keep your back muscles strong. In the long run, that's a good thing. So, roll those shoulders back, arch your back and keep your head up! Also, google back strengthening exercises and do some!

Yes that is very true. Your spine is like a rod that has specific curves that are natural however when you have bad posture you place unnecessary strain on your vertebrae, muscles and ligaments. So sit up straight and walk tall, like there is an imaginary string at the top of your head pulling you up! Happy backs come from good posture and strong core muscles!
