“Is bariatric surgery dangerous?”
I'm considering bariatric surgery to get rid of my extra weight, but I'm worried about the risks and complications of the surgery. Are there any serious complications associated with this surgery?

All surgical procedures have levels of danger. Bariatric surgeries in the hands of a good surgeon is a safe procedure. There are many types of bariatric surgery and if there are complications they can be very severe, but research your surgeon thoroughly and look at their outcomes. If they’ve agreed you’re a good candidate, then I’d trust him/her.

Yes, all surgeries have risks and bariatric procedures certainly are not the exception. Considering the patient population, bariatric surgeries are more risky.
