Double vision is uncommon with vitrectomy. Scleral Buckle procedures for retinal detachment has a small change of causing double vision from limitation of eye movement after the surgery.
No. But it can be a temporary side effect immediately after the procedure. Ask the operating surgeon to investigate. SO
Double vision is uncommon after vitrectomy surgery. It is more common after scleral buckling surgery.
Yes, especially if they did a sclera buckle or put long acting gas.

Double vision following vitrectomy is perhaps not extremely common, but certainly can happen. One should not assume something bad has occurred until complete healing from the procedure has occurred and even then a full ophthalmologic exam to determine a cause.
