“Is astigmatism serious?”
I was diagnosed with astigmatism. Is it serious? What are the treatment options?

Astigmatism references eye shape as it relates to a prescription (for either glasses or contact lenses). The amount of astigmatism a patient has varies from patient to patient. While the number can sometimes be high, astigmatism usually isn't serious.
Hello no it is not serious in most cases it is mild It is a description of the shape of your cornea. Treatment is glasses and or contacts.
If it's regular astigmatism, probably not. That's just a normal refractive error. Irregular stigmatism can be a sign of a more serious medical condition. Steven Vale, M. D.
