“Is it bad when my heart rate increases when I exercise?”
My heart rate increases whenever I exercise, and it often feels like my chest is going to burst when I do physical activity. I noticed this while I was in physical therapy for an injury from a car accident. Is it bad that my heart rate goes up when I exercise?

Some increase in heart rate is normal. If it catches your attention like this maybe you should consult your doctor.
The basic way to calculate your maximum heart rate is to subtract your age from 220. So, if you are aged 45 (just an example), 45 from 220 = 175. This would be the maximum number of times your heart should beat per minute during exercise. If it is more than that, you should see a cardiologist. In fact, it’s a good idea anyway to be seen by a cardiologist. I have no knowledge of your age. Your heart rate does increase on exercise normally, but using my simple calculations, it will give you an idea.
