Yes, any pain cream can be used, if presisit, please seek consult with local podiatrist.
It is fine. Better yet. Use a special brace to keep the foot in dorsiflexion while sleeping to maintain the fascia stretched. You can get it at any of the pharmacy stands for braces.

yes
Perfectly safe to massage plantar fasciitis, one of the recommendations I make is to do ice massage with a frozen water bottle at the end of the day and also a massage ball.
Absolutely! Deep tissue massage is a preferred method when it comes to helping alleviate pain that is caused by plantar fasciitis. There are also non invasive treatment options for helping with this type of condition also. A pain management specialist or podiatrist can help with this.

Yes, this does help the ligament and soft tissue.
No, this may irritate the ligament long term.
I think massaging has benefits. I usually have my patients use a frozen water bottle so they can ice and massage at the same time. I do prefer gentle pressure.
It may be painful, but it should help improve blood flow and move inflammation out.

It is actually good to massage the plantar fascia when you have plantar fasciitis, as it will help to stretch the ligament and alleviate the tension from the ligament. However, I have had many patients present to my office AFTER have an aggressive massage by a massage therapist or other type of therapist. So be careful about how deep or aggressive the massage is.
Massage for plantar fasciitis can be very effective. I recommend you be evaluated by a foot and ankle surgeon (podiatrist) to confirm the diagnosis and appropriate treatments.
Absolutely!
