“My mother has been complaining of leg pain. Could it be diabetic neuropathy?”
My mother has diabetes, and recently she has been complaining of pain that goes up and down her leg. Could this be a sign of diabetic neuropathy?

Diabetes is one of the causes of Peripheral Neuropathy (PN) which often begins with bilateral numbness in the feet rather than one sided pain. A history and physical examination should help to get a precise diagnosis. If it is PN then the only reliable treatment is Perineural Injection Treatment (PIT).
