“Why do I have a little bleeding after my colonoscopy?”
I recently had a colonoscopy and now I have a little bleeding in my stools. What could be the reason for this? Is it normal?

This might happen if biopsies were taken during the procedure. The bleeding should stop within a few hours.
Please discuss with your doctor who performed the colonoscopy, for any persistent post procedure symptoms. Not normal to have continued bleeding, unless you have had polys removed or hemorrhoids that bleed.
