Psychologist Questions Mental Health

My sister loses interest in things very fast, having a negative impact on her life.

My sister is 20 years old and loses interest in things/gets bored extremely fast. It is starting to have an affect on her love life, friendships, and even work. Can a psychologist help her?

Yes. Although she might need to engage in a long treatment to figure things out and find the root of this behavior. Suggest she look for a psychologist to help with those issues, and help her with other "adulting" issues.

This is a great question. I wonder if she's losing interest in all these aspects of her life because she has yet to find her true path. Does she feel authentic in her life? She is 20 years old and has a lot more life in front of her. As a therapist, I would explore existential aspects to help her find her meaning.

A Psychologist can be helpful if in fact your sister is interested in receiving help.
Yes, but what does she say is the reason for it? Is she worried about it or interested in it? Yes, a psychologist could certainly help in finding the reason/cause, and psychotherapy could help her overcome this problem, but she needs to be motivated to help herself.
Yes - perhaps individual, perhaps group therapy. She may be depressed - is that possible?
Just a therapist alone could help her. No need for a psychologist if money is coming out of your pocket. She is still young but seeing a therapist can help direct her future life.
Yes they can. Have her see a therapist that she is comfortable with before this gets too far out of control.
