ENT physicians, otolaryngology physicians are the doctors who treat the active problems with lack of sense of smell and/or taste. Most common issue is the degree of nasal congestion and obstruction, sometimes viral syndromes. Because this and/or gradual aging and history of familial loss of sense of smell.
You need to visit an ENT specialist. The sooner, the better. It could be as simple as damage from sneezing and as serious as a tumor in the nose or the base of the skull. You need a complete work-up to rule out any problems you may have.
Many causes. Viral damage most common. May recover in three months
