My son was 2 years old when he had a severe bout of pneumonia. His lungs were quite weakened by the virus. How often should I get a screening done for his lungs to ensure everything is okay?

There is no need for screening
Discuss this with your son's pediatrician. I think that a check-up every six months till he is five would be advisable and then after that, only as needed. But let your son's pediatrician make that decision.
