Allergist and Immunologist Questions Allergist-Immunologist

Medicine Interaction

I was prescribed azithromycin 250mg by my doctor for a sinus infection along with Zyrtec/singular to use as a combo together at the same time. I was wondering when would be the best time to take the azithromycin since I am already taking the Zyrtec and singular together? Thank you in advance.

There are no interactions between those medications so it does not matter when you take the oral antibiotic. Would suggest taking azithromycin at the opposite time of day you take the other two medications.  Monika Korff, MDFACAAIoffice4107306000www.allergyasthmamaryland.com
Singular (montelucast) is not used for a sinus infection

Usually, I recommend taking antibiotics with meals or with yogurt if you feel nauseated after taking the antibiotic you can take it in the evening otherwise, the timing is not as critical.
