Even after a lip surgery, my lips are not in perfect shape. What should I do?

I had a lip surgery, because I always felt that my lips were not in a perfect shape. Even after the surgery, the shape isn't what I expected. What should I do about it now?

Hello, you may benefit from filler injection or fat transfer to the lips. For further inquiries or questions, you may want to visit my website at DrRoyamd@aol.com. Good Luck!!!!
Filler can be used to make the lips larger and enhance the shape of cupids bow, but are not permanent
If you notice a cosmetic deformity of the lip, you have the option of injectables to the lip, scar revision, or if it very minor resurfacing techniques such as lasers/peels.
I am sorry to hear that you did not have the desired results. It is important to be open and discuss this with your board-certified plastic surgeon to discuss options which may be available for you!
Repeat the surgery or obtain fillers with a plastic surgeon who recognizes your perspective and has the talent and skill to address your concerns.
It might be able to be contoured with hyaluronic acid fillers to make some areas more prominent.
Lip shape and volume can be tricky using collagen threads and volumization with fillers may help with the shaping and symmetry.
After lip surgery, in general, it takes 3 to 6 months for most swelling to resolve and over one year for final healing. Also would recommend that you go back to your surgeon for regular follow-up visits.
