OB-GYN (Obstetrician-Gynecologist) Questions Birth Control

Will taking birth control for an extended period of time effect my chances of getting pregnant when the time is right?

I have been taking birth control pills for over 10 years. I am worried that when I do want to try for a baby, that all of these years of birth control may make it difficult for me. Is there any truth to this?

If you had fairly regular cycles when off the pill, then once you stop the pill, your body reverts back to its normal cycling.
Not at all, OCPs do not affect pregnancy rate no matter how long you take it.
Hundreds of studies have been done on the long term affects of birth control, and there is no affect on fertility. However, some women start birth control BECAUSE their periods are so irregular, and these women tend to have more infertility. But if your periods were regular before you started the pill, your fertility is probably fine.
