Neurologist Questions Hand Injuries and Disorders

I have spasms and pins and needles sensation in my hand. Please help.

I am a 34-year-old man and I have a severe pins and needles sensation in my hands which comes along with spasms. The condition lasts for about 5 to 7 minutes after which it settles on its own. What could this mean? Please advice.

The most common cause of hand tingling is carpal tunnel syndrome, which is due to compression of the median nerve in the flexor surface of the wrist. Another possibility, however, is a problem in the cervical spine. While these symptoms may represent a relatively benign problem, I recommend that you seek a formal neurological consultation.
It could be a nerve issue such as carpal tunnel syndrome. But also could be from abnormal calcium level. It would require neurological examination to be able to tell exactly what's going on.
Neuropathy or cervical cord problem.

Please let me know the correct answer!

Very interesting subject, this can be caused due to many reasons. This may be as simple as carpal tunnel syndrome to nerve hyper excitability problem. Dr Yono or Dr Kashouty will be able to help you and relieve those sensations.
