“Pregnancy and toothache. What do I do?”
I'm 30 years old and in my third trimester of pregnancy, but I also have a really bad toothache. Is there anything I can do?

Infection or pain are high priority, however, the best treatment should be coordinated with your OB/GYN doctor based on your health and pregnancy status.

Treating your toothache in the third trimester should be safe. Your baby is fully formed and just enlarging. Check with your obstetrician and ask the dentist to use anesthetic without epinephrine.
Yes! See a dentist right away to make sure you do not have an abscess. This can be dangerous for you and your baby.
I suggest go to your dentist ASAP to prevent a possible infection and stop the toothache which will cause you to have more stress on the you and your entire body. It is okay to get some dental treatment during pregnancy such as filling and extraction. The majority of the anesthetic we use are safe to you and the baby. The only thing you need to be careful is about exposing the baby to radiation if the doctor required x-rays to do the best diagnose make sure you discuss with your dentist that you are in your third trimester of pregnancy and if it is possible to diagnose the problem without taking X - Rays.
