How can I prevent a UTI during my pregnancy?

According to my gyno I am very prone to UTIs. I have had 3 instances of UTI in the past. Now I am pregnant and would like to know, how can I prevent them during pregnancy?

Two things that can reduce your risk, or staying regular, and avoiding sex. Higher level of progesterone during pregnancy causes constipation. Make sure you do what is needed. Second, avoid sexual activity, or consider taking an antibiotic which is safe for pregnancy when you are sexually active as a single dose. Ask your OB about it.
Take vitamin C 250mg twice a day and drink 5 glasses of water per day.

1- Increase fluid intake.
2- Empty your bladder immediately after intercourse.
3- Practice good hygiene. Wipe from front to back after you urinate to prevent the spreading of bacteria.
4- Drink cranberry juice.
Pregnancy tends to increase one's susceptibility to UTI's (hormonal and structural changes). Keep well hydrated during your pregnancy.
