Should I go to the hospital if my water breaks but no contractions?

I am a 26 year old female. I want to know should I go to the hospital if my water breaks but no contractions?

You should call your OBGYN to let them know your water has broken. If you are preterm (less than 37 weeks) you should call your doctor and go to the hospital. If you are full term, your doctor will advise you on if they feel it is safe for you to wait a little while at home to see if contractions start or if they want you to go straight to the hospital for evaluation.
