Hi there, it is best not to leave a wrap on your ankle overnight
Typically yes, you just don’t want to wrap is so tight that you cut off circulation. It would depend on if you have it wrapped during the day and how active you are. Check with your provider for their recommendations.
Not a bad idea to wrap it for the first few days. It really depends on the severity of the sprain.

C-compress E-elevate. So, wrapping the ankle and/or using a brace.
I would not recommend wrapping a sprained ankle at night. You can use RockTape or other Kineseotape instead.
All sprains and strains have degrees of tearing of tissue and the amount of tearing dictates short and long term healing and treatment protocol. Any supports applied are dictated by the degree of tearing. The amount of tearing dictates the treatment protocol instituted. Minor sprain and strains are 1 to 10 percent of tissue torn and are treated with conservative treatment including bracing for a short term and to protect from additional tearing and to reduce pain. Moderated are 10 to 25 percent. Major sprains or strains are 25 to 50 percent of tissue torn. I isn't classified as torn until more than 50 percent is torn. It is a complete tear and requires surgery if it is more than 75 percent of the tissue.
