“Should I go to the doctor if my gums are swollen?”
I think I have an infection in my gums because they are red and swollen. Should I go to the doctor if my gums are swollen? They aren't causing me pain, just mild discomfort.

YES, ABSOLUTELY!!! You likely have gum disease. Gum disease is a slow moving destructive condition that is slowly eating away the supporting bone around your teeth. The gums are inflamed as a reaction to the disease. You should seek out an appointment very soon. Ignoring it will cause the problem to worsen and ultimately loss of teeth.
Yes, I would see your dentist to evaluate and treat properly. Could be gingivitis, or an abscess tooth.
