“Should you wear a night guard every night?”
I am a 29 year old female. I want to know should I wear a night guard every night?

The idea of the night guard is to protect your teeth over night and if they are not used often then they won't server their purpose and you may end up casing permanent damage to your teeth.
Do you find that you are grinding your teeth? Has someone told you they can hear you grinding your teeth. If the answer is yes, then you should have a custom night guard made. Also if you wake up with sore teeth or jaw muscles then most likely you are grinding your teeth and you would need a night guard.
Hello,
This is a really good question! The answer really depends on why you are wearing the night guard. This may seem a little weird since the night guard is designed to protect your teeth from a grinding or clenching habit; however, it is important to distinguish if this is a chronic (long acting) habit or if it is more episodic habit (only occurs during times of stress in your life). If you are the type of person that has teeth that are all worn down to the same level or you have jaw pain when you wake up in the morning, it is possible that this is a chronic issue for you and you should consider wearing it every night. If you are the type of person that only has symptoms of grinding occasionally and your teeth are not worn too much you may be able to get away with wearing it only during the times that bother you.
Hope this helps.
My best to you!
