Teeth cleaning and wearing a partial?

Can teeth cleaning cause multiple problems if they have been cleaned to much ex: teeth wearing away at the top next to the gum line, instead of making teeth look better they are starting to turn basically brown. Dentist removed one of my top two front teeth and I now have to wear a partial. One partial is made of the silver looking metal, which both the dentist and I believe that I am allergic to it since the roof of the mouth where the metal part touches from where it starts to where it ends stays inflamed looking and very sore. The flexible nonmetal partial is so very uncomfortable that it ends up hurting my mouth more than the metal one.
Any advice for either problem I would truly appreciate, and thank you for any information suggestions given.

I think in your cases, the best bet would be to have an implant consult. Get rid if the partial altogether! Partials erode the teeth they are anchored to in the long run and then you end up with more missing teeth. Partials are inexpensive, but not a great choice.
Dear patient,

There are different reasons why teeth are wearing out at the gum levels/line, examples are:
-Aggressive scaling at hygiene appt, especially when root surfaces are exposure.
-Abfraction lesions are concavities at the gum line when malocclusion is present.
-Abrasion lesions are concavities related to hard brushing/horizontal strokes at the gum line.
-The brown color could be the dark yellow color of the root surfaces where gums are residing.

There are allergy cases related to metal from crowns and partials specially in women. After an extraction, the bone around the extraction site/soft tissue will re-shape, meaning the extraction site/ridge will change, usually it will shrink, so the partial denture will not longer fit right. All depends on the planning ahead and communication from dentist to patient to understand the whole process....obviously the partial doesn't fit right any more, but at this point, we don't know what kind of partial you got, some material can be reline and other can't.
bottom line, you need to see a dentist for an assessment of the condition.

Have a great day,
