“Will a baby born through surrogacy have the surrogate mother's features?”
I am thinking about surrogacy for my baby. Will the baby have the features of the surrogate mother instead of mine? What else should I keep in mind? I still have some thinking to do about this.

At first glance, the answer is of course not. We are using your egg, I assume, and therefore, the baby has your genetic makeup. However, the environment in which the MPO grows does exert influence on it. There is a new field, Genomics, which you should read about. It was an experiment done once with Shetland ponies, and it’s also worth reading about. I would not be so worried about physical attributes. In the end, it is more about personality and value systems. I would not use this technology lightly.
Good question,
A surrogate pregnancy is usually when a woman carries a child for another couple. The egg and the sperm are placed inside her in order to develop. Therefore, the surrogate's features should have no influence on the genetics of the fetus. If the surrogate was also an egg donor for that pregnancy, then the fetus would have her genetic composition.

The baby’s DNA is the combination of the genetic mother's and the genetic father's. The baby will have the features of the egg donor and the male sperm used to create the embryo. The surrogate is providing the womb for the baby to develop, but has no DNA contribution to the embryo.

The baby will have the features of the biological parents. If the biological mother (using her eggs) is the surrogate, only then will the baby have their surrogate's features.
