What causes my tongue to become white so frequently?

The white tinge on my tongue appears is more apparent than it is on other people's tongues. What is the reason for this?

Usually its thickening of the upper layer of cell in the surface of the tongue. However there is a condition called leukoplakia that may be a precancerous lesion, cancer is also white but usually is localized in one area alone.
Could be a lot of things. Vitamin and nutrient deficiencies can cause this. However, sometimes helps to just brush your tongue twice a day.

Gargling with warm salt water and adding 1-2 drops of oregano oil might also help.
Either mouth breathing at sleep or some substance is irritating tongue mucosa. If taking antibiotics, it could be mild thrush.
