“What is the treatment for my throat infection?”
I keep getting a throat infection even when I'm taking antibiotics. Is there a different treatment that I should be doing? What does it usually mean when I have a persistent infection like this?

Recurrent tonsillitis, partially treated strep, pharyngitis, acid reflux, and pharyngitis secondary to sinusitis can all cause this. A comprehensive head/neck history and physical is appropriate.
You need to stop taking antibiotics for at least one week then at the first sign of the next throat infection you need to have a culture and sensitivity study. If bacteria is detected and an antibiotic is found to be active against it then use it. If the infection repeats again in a short time after the treatment is stopped you may need your tonsils removed. So go and see an otolaryngologist
