“Can turmeric be directly applied on a wound?”
My daughter is 4 years old and keeps falling down often while playing. Is it safe to put turmeric directly on a minor wound or should it be mixed with something to avoid any burning?

Fresh turmeric likely would not sting any more than basic contact on a fresh wound, however, it would probably be best to have something like a salve or ointment. For wounds, I find herbs that are vulneraries to be best. So, that would include calendula, yarrow, or plantain to name a few. Such preparations can be found pre-formulated!
Yes, you can, but I would mix it with either water, honey, or aloe Vera and make a paste out of it, then cover it.
Turmeric tends to burn and is uncomfortable on a wound. This herb's main strength is anti-inflammation, which can be useful in treating wounds but I would consider Calendula; it is soothing, cooling, and has a higher affinity for wound healing in general.
Hello, I would make sure there is nothing neurological if a child falls a lot. No need for Turmeric. Wash and Air it out and children heal fast. Watch for redness and infection.
I will suggest Aloe Vera, instead of turmeric, especially for a 4year old. A small plant in the home can do wonders, for that.
Poultices or creams of various herbs including turmeric have been used on minor wounds. It should not be used directly on an open wound as a whole herb. You can possibly find an antiseptic cream that contains turmeric at your local health food store, if not there are some recipes online. You should always check with your child's pediatrician or other health care provider before applying any homemade creams.
