Gastroenterologist Questions Food Poisoning

What is the likely impact two food poisonings on my digestive functions?

I have had 2 relapses of food poisoning in the last 2 months. How is this likely to impact my digestive system?

The main consequence of food poisoning can be the development of irritable bowel syndrome and/or upper GI dyspepsia, depending on what part of the GI tract was affected. Symptoms can be chronic and may require assessment and treatment by a GI doctor.
You need to make sure that the episodes of food poisoning aren’t actually due to an intestinal infection, or an early sign of a chronic gastrointestinal condition.
If it is really food poisoning as you say, then you should improve completely, with a few months of probiotics and healthy diet habits.
