Pathologist Questions Vaginal Bleeding

My vaginal discharge is yellowish green with occasional blood. Why?

I am a 36 year old woman and off late I have been noticing that my vaginal discharge is yellowish green in color along with traces of blood. What could be the cause of this? Does it indicate an infection?

Yellow-green vaginal discharge usually signals a bacterial or sexually transmitted infection. Please, see your OB/GYN doctor. Thank you
Any color change or smelly discharge associated with vaginal irritation or symptoms of discomfort or with fever may raise a suspicion of vaginal infection and its advisable to see a physician and get a test done if the attending physician suspects an infection on clinical examination.

go to see a doctor, it's impossible to make a diagnosis remotely.
I am a pathologist, and not a gynecologist. Based on what you describe, I believe it probably is an infection, but I think your question should be directed to a gynecologist.
