OB-GYN (Obstetrician-Gynecologist) Questions Vaginal Bleeding

After I use an MTP kit, how long will I continue to bleed?

I used an MTP Kit after my pregnancy test came positive. I am now having bleeding. How long will the bleeding go on for?

For a few weeks.
There is no definite duration of bleed given; every individual may respond differently. The rule of thumb is if you're soaking two or more pads or tampons each hour, then one should proceed to the nearest ER for prompt medical attention.

Wait for a week or two. If bleeding continues after that, you should see your ob/gyn, but anyway, your bleeding should not be heavy. In that case, you need to see your ob/gyn.
Sometimes for 7-10 days. If it lasts longer, it could be endometritis infection of the uterus.
The duration of bleeding varies in different patients. It could last like a menstrual period.
Could be several days to a week. If it continues, consult your GYN.

A few days. If it is very heavy or persistent, you have a retained placentas tissues. Google an emergency room.
You will notice heavy bleeding for the first 24-48 hrs, then 1-2 pads/day for upto a week, then spotting for the next 3-4 weeks. If you are concerned about your bleeding, see your OBGyn to get an u/s done.

Take care!
