What are the long-term effects of adult ADD?

I'm 30 years old and I've just been just diagnosed with adult ADD. Does adult ADD get worse over time? What are some of the long term effects?

it doesn't get worse but you should treat it and develop healthy routines and avoid substance use
It doesn't get worse. If anything, hyperactivity tends to lessen. All ADD starts by age 12. Adult ADD is a continuation. Untreated or poorly treated leads to work failures, accidents, relationship, problems, and stress.
ADD tends to improve over time. An important coping mechanism is working at modifying the thinking and behavioral symptoms that most affect you. Concentration is often a major symptom, so put significant effort into working with this.
