I am in my early 20's and think I may have syphilis. What are the symptoms?

Sometimes you have no symptoms. The most common symptom is a painless ulcer in the vaginal area. Later in cases of secondary syphilis, you'll get a rash.
Initially there is an ulceration where the bacteria enters the body. Then there usually are no symptoms until it starts affecting your brain. If you think you may have been exposed, see your GYN and get tested.
