You can try over-the-counter anti-inflammatory medication like Aleve/Advil if you’re okay to take those from a medical point of view. If pain persists, you need to be evaluated by an orthopedist, and you may need X-rays and even an MRI.
Ibuprofen
Ibuprofen is best.

The most effective over-the-counter medications are ibuprofen and naproxen, which are nonsteroidal anti-inflammatories. They are safe for about ten days of use. They can raise your blood pressure so check it. Tylenol is the primary other over the counter analgesic which is probably first line due to less side effects. It is also safe when used as labeled. If these don't help fully, a visit with your PCP or an orthopedic surgeon is a good idea.

Diclofenac Gel is a very good first choice as it is a topical medication with few side effects.
