“What can disqualify you from LASIK?”
I am a 20 year old female. I want to know what can disqualify you from LASIK?

1. Corneal scars, severe corneal neovascularization
2. Hx of trauma to the eyes
3. Poor visual potential meaning you do not have the ability to get to 20/20 by any means including glasses if your eyes didn't develop properly as a child
4. Corneal ectasia diseases like keratoconus or thin corneas in general
5. Severe dry eye disease.

There are a number of things that are contraindications for Lasik. Some of these are dependent upon the surgeon performing the Lasik. You will need to see an eye care professional to determine whether it is appropriate for you to have Lasik.

If you are too highly myopic like minus 8 or 10 diopters and you have a thin cornea.
