Surgeon Questions Sweating

What can I do about my excessive sweating?

I excessively sweat underneath my armpits. I saw my regular general practitioner and my dermatologist with no results. What can be my next step? Are there any surgeries that can help?

Consult Endocrinology.
Surgery not recommended. There are antiperspirants, but most have aluminum.
Try botox injections. There are also machines they can hook up to armpits I have seen advertised by plastic surgeons. Finally but very aggressive is a laparoscopic surgery through both sides of the chest to sever the nerves.
Thank you for your question. Surgery currently available for hyperhidrosis is for excessively sweaty feet (ELS Surgery) or excessively sweaty hands (ETS Surgery). There is currently no available surgery directly for excessive underarm sweating only. We hope the research will offer new surgery in the future. In the meantime, we suggest you locate a dermatologist who specializes in hyperhidrosis treatments other than surgery - research on the internet or here on this site. Thank you for reaching out and we wish you the best - our website discusses some alternative treatments: www.sweaty-palms.com that you may want to investigate. Take care.
Currently the best treatments for excessive sweating are botox injections in the areas of concern or laser treatments to stop the function of the sweat glands
Botox can be injected for excessive sweating. Talk to your physician about this as an option.
