“What can the pain in my neck be?”
I am a 34-year-old female and I have had bad neck pains for 3 weeks. What could be the cause? Should I see a doctor?

Neck pain must be worked up. From muscle strain to neoplasm. If pain at night, persistent for more than 6 weeks, and numbness tingling are present, an MRI must be obtained.
A lot of reasons could cause neck pain ranging from a simple muscle strain caused by a bad posture, a wrong height of a sleeping pillow to a more serious cause like herniated disc and pinched nerve. For someone of your age, I will recommend fixing simple reasons mentioned above, using a hot pack and over the counter pain medication. If no improvement in within two weeks, then you should consult your family doctor.
