Ophthalmologist Questions Lesions

What causes lesions to form within the eyelid?

There's pain and swelling in my eyelid, and it started last night. This morning it's even worse, so I pulled back my eyelid and saw what looks like a lesion inside. What could have caused this?

It's likely a stye. See an ophthalmologist.
This is a stye or hordeolum. Apply hot compress twice a day for 3-5 days. If no better, see an urgent care or your friendly neighborhood ophthalmologist.

This is something that would have to be seen by your eye doctor.
It sounds like you have an eyelid stye or chalazion. We recommend that you use warm compresses. If the dilated gland on the inside of your eyelid with associated inflammation does not subside, your ophthalmologist will be able to prescribe medication to improve this.
