“Why do my eyes hurt when I look to the side?”
I'm 27, and whenever I look to the side, my eyeballs hurt really badly. What could be causing this? Is this something I should see a doctor for?

Yes. If pain with eye movement has just recently occurred, and is persistent particularly with any blurred vision, this would most definitely need to be evaluated for the potential presence of optic neuritis. Your eye doctor would evaluate your optic nerve with dilation, and complete an optic neuritis work up, possibly including an MRI.
This can be referred pain from your neck or other muscles that are tense around your head. It could also be other ocular conditions. Have your eyes examined. Depends on the type of pain, sharp, dull...
It could be several possibilities which would require an eye doctor looking at your eyes with a slit lamp (microscope) to determine what is happening. Way too difficult to speculate. Usually when there is pain upon eye movement, there could be a serious underlying issue which could negatively impact the vision.
Good day,
Yes, you should see an eye doctor. If the pain is "bad," by all means.
