My son is 22-years-old and has debilitating depression and suicidal thoughts. How can I help him cope with these tendencies? What constitutes as a severe mental illness?

Schizophrenia is a severe illness. As he gets older he should be much better and seeing a good therapist. Life coach is good also. Positive energy and actions are the vest for him right now
