“What does a full body CT scan show?”
I am a 25 year old female. I want to know what does a full body CT scan show?

It shows anatomy but can be nonspecific in the absence of oral or intravenous contrast, so I don’t recommend them.
The short answer is a heck of a lot…
Numerous, cardiac, vascular, pulmonary, G.I., and genitourinary as well as musculoskeletal abnormalities. Not to be trite, but almost too numerous to count.

A full body CT scan can show many things from normal anatomy to abnormal anatomy and pathology. The problem is sometimes a whole body CT can show something which may not be an important, but because it is there, it must be pursued - sometimes requiring unnecessary procedures such as biopsies. It is better to use CT when a patient has symptoms.
In my opinion, it's a waste of time and money.
