Depends on the diagnosis. A complete ophthalmologic examination is recommended.
Nystagmus is an ocular condition in which the eyes shake from side to side. This condition can be congenital or acquired....and has a broad list of causes. Please refer to this website for a discussion of this condition:

That is called nystagmus and there are many causes, all related to brain function involving control of eye movements. Some are benign, others a sign of a serious condition. Brain injury, medications, neurological disease like MS, and even brain tumors can cause nystagmus. If you never had it before, you should see an ophthalmologist or neurologist ASAP. If you have
any associated neurologic symptoms, like dizziness, headache, weakness, or numbness, then go to an ER right away.

More information would be required, including a thorough ophthalmology exam, to diagnose the reason for eyes to shake side to side. It's more than likely a neurological process that presents as a nystagmus, the shaking of eyes from side to side, up and down, or rotary. Anyone with eyes that shake side to side should be examined by an ophthalmologist or neurologist.
Eyes shaking side to side is termed NYSTAGMUS. If you google the term, you will find all manner of scary things. If you were born with it, you've likely been tested for those things already; also, you probably have poor vision. If this is a new symptom, and you are a serious individual who is not flighty and emotional, not currently or formerly under the care of a mental health professional, and not currently or formerly taking psychoactive medications, then you should let your primary doctor know about this within the next week or two. If you are any of those things, feel free to see you doctor as well. A neurological examination should be performed, and someone may order an MRI of your brain.
The condition is called nystagmus. While it can be inherited, it also can be caused by other eye conditions, stroke, certain medication, and excessive alcohol consumption. Please see an ophthalmologist, especially if this is of recent onset. SO
If the eyes themselves are shaking, the condition is called nystagmus. Nystagmus can be caused by a number of issues: disease, medications, inherited, etc. If this a new finding for you, would recommend that you see an eye care professional.
This called nystagmus. Usually you are born with it. There are many reasons. Albinism is one.

This is called nystagmus and is most usual congenital in origin. Acquired nystagmus is usually associated with other significant central nervous system problems and needs prompt evaluation by a neurologist.
It's not a good sign. It's a sign of neurological disorder, like a congenital abnormality or stroke affecting the brain.
