Phlebologist Questions Varicose Veins

What exercises can I do to get rid of varicose veins?

I'm 41 years old, and I have varicose veins on my calves. I don't want to have medical treatment for it because they're not causing me to have severe discomfort. Are there any exercises I can do at home to get rid of them?

Exercise will not remove them but good muscle tone helps prevent them
Please wear 20-30 mm hg compression stockings. Walking, leg elevation at rest, and weight loss help.
You can't get rid of varicose veins by exercising.
Unfortunately, there are no exercises that will get rid of, or prevent, varicose veins. The good news is, there are  minimally invasive treatments that can eliminate the appearance of varicose veins. You should seek out a center that specializes in vein disease to discuss options after a thorough evaluation.

No there are not.
Although calf raises help engage the calf-pump mechanism to enhance the upward flow of venous blood in the deep vein system to move out of the legs, there are no exercises that improve existing varicose veins or saphenous vein insufficiency. Diet and exercise, while important for overall health, do not halt the progression of varicose vein disease. Fortunately, modern varicose vein treatments are minimally invasive, provide excellent outcomes, and have very short recovery time. Compression hose worn daily may help slow the progression of varicose veins and provide temporary comfort. Schedule a consultation with a varicose vein specialist for more information.
